MOTH 2025
The Montréal-Ottawa-Toronto-Hamilton Syntax Workshop (MOTH) will be held on April 7 and 8, 2025 at the University of Toronto. MOTH is an annual linguistics conference that brings together linguists from Central Canada who conduct research in syntax and its interfaces. The locations for MOTH rotate annually. The Call for Papers is now closed; abstracts were due February 21.

L’atelier de syntaxe Montéal-Ottawa-Toronto-Hamilton (MOTH) se tiendra à l'Université de Toronto le 7 et 8 avril 2024. MOTH est une conférence annuelle de linguistique qui réunit des linguistes provenant de l'Ontario et du Québec qui travaillent en syntaxe et ses interfaces. L'appel à communications est maintenant clos; la date de limitation étant le 21 février.
The invited speaker for this year's workshop will be Dr. Alison Biggs, from McMaster University!
Alison Biggs is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Linguistics & Languages at McMaster University. She received her PhD from the University of Cambridge and previously held research and teaching positions at UPenn and Georgetown. Her research is in syntax and its interfaces with morphology and semantics, with a particular focus on argument structure and category. More broadly she is interested in the possible and impossible ways in which morphosyntax can vary cross-linguistically.
